Condolence: We were deeply saddened to her of Allans passing. Our deepest condolences to the Pietz and Rominger family. He was a happy positive person his whole life always warmly greeting people with his meggawatt smile . He was a joyous life enhancer that loved his family and friends dearly . His beloved niece Carolynn Ort never left his side. He was a hard working man that always had an extraordinary energy and vitality that he displayed running the dairy with his family and serving his Welland constituents for over forty five years. Allan was a gregarious outgoing man who was a great communicator. Allan displayed the same genuine interest and caring for all those he met during his political career whether it was a Prime Minister or the disadvantaged person in need of help. We will remember to happy times our families shared together and will deeply miss Allan our inspirational friend that had such a zest for life. He had a profound impact on everyone he met and was a mentor to many over the decades . Although his accomplishments were many -the world is a sadder place for losing this kind humble man with a heart of gold. He dearly loved the fine people of Welland. Allan we honour you we love you and we will never forget you Godspeed dear friend

Condolence: Allan, knew a great many people and could remember from years back when in his 90's.

I worked part time for him at Sunnyside as young kid; had a ball, was treated fairly and managed me as mentor. A kind and honest gentleman always.

I had worked overseas and he asked my cousins about me from time to time and when I walked in to visit one of those cousins in Seasons, I didn't notice Allan sitting in front lobby area as it was my first visit but he immediately got up and said hello; remembering, not only my name, but several things. We had a great chat and I visited him and cousin Jeannie often (till Covid).

He will be missed but not forgotten.

Condolences to all the families,

Condolence: Our sincere condolences to Elaine & Bill, and Amanda and Allan and other family members on the recent passing of a special man in their lives --Allan Pietz. He was a resilient man, despite some personal challenges and adversity in his life. Allan was definitely a "people person" -- he was very gregarious and he loved meeting people and serving his community. He was also a very smart dresser. He will be remembered for his large smile, jovial manner and outgoing personality. He was a true politician who just loved to "work a room" and talk to everyone. The last time I saw him was a few years ago at my cousin's birthday party. She also lived at Season's Retirement Home in Welland. We chatted and took some photos together. He was a "larger than life" kind of guy and he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss. Hugs, Brenda & Charles
