The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Roger Beck can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Best grandfather

I will always remember being little and going over to your house in St. Catharines. Grandpa always made us do chores around his house but Cecile would always make us banana splits. You were a tough man growing up but that made me a better person. Most people I told my plans of being a cook they talked me out of it. Not you though, you told me to pursue and dreams I had. Doesnt matter what others thought that its my life. Growing up I was always told how mean you could be and how tough it was to be around you. I never saw that side, to me you were always nice, always encouraged me. I could show up randomly at your house and you never turned me away. Always sat down at the kitchen table and we would have a coffee and just chat sometimes for hours and lose track of time. You were the greatest grandfather to me and Ryker was so lucky to have had a few years with you and I thank you for everything you taught me.
