It is with great sadness that the family of Roger Beck announce his sudden and peaceful passing at home on January 22, 2021. Roger will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cecile, and children Laurie Main (Kevin), Al Beck (Cathie), Cheryl Beck (Henri), Karen Vloet (Paul), Dawne Thoms (Mike), Kevin Beck and Mike Cook (Shannon). Loving and dedicated brother to Dianne Stevens (Lorne), Chuck Beck (Carol) and Arnold Beck (Dorothy). Predeceased by his baby sister Julia Darlene and parents Barbara and Victor Beck. Cherished Grandfather to Kristen, Brad, Jessica, Jennifer, Jamie, Braeden, Brycen, Brodie, Brittney, Tyler, Zack, Tanner, Melissa and Brandon and Great Grandfather to Brennen, Kailey, Matthew, Mackenzie, Emma, Paislee, Turner and Ryker. Roger will be forever remembered for his infectious jokes and stories, his quick wittiness, and his profound love for his family and friends. A special mention of his nephews / nieces Charles and Sue Stevens, Chris and Stacey Stevens, Shannon Beck and Keith Beck and special friends Stan Frost, Ron Kisur and Sonny Levay. Roger began working at the Welland Tribune at the age of 16 and then for Sun Chemicals until his retirement in 2005. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, a Celebration of Roger’s life will take place at a later date when we can all gather together again. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roger’s memory can be made to Hospice Niagara.
