Rita's love for life was first and foremost her family and her love of the church. She was an active member of St Andrews Roman Catholic Church for more than 60 years. Rita worked tirelessly helping people, visiting the sick and in prayer groups. Her life touched us all and everyone who knew her lived better because of it. Rita worked for the Hospital Auxiliary for many years where everyone knew her friendly face. Many bowling trophies are testament to her love of the sport.
Our sincere gratitude to all of Rita’s caregivers at Oakwood Park Lodge. You all made her feel love and at home. She made everyone she met happier, her sense of humor was well known and infectious.
A private visitation has taken place with a Celebration of Life at a later date. There is another angel in the Heavenly Choir tonight.
Until we meet again Mom, we will love you forever.
Memorial gifts can be made to the Welland Humane Society and Oakwood Park Lodge recreation department in Rita’s name.
